Emails to Harappan Indus Valley Script Researchers Dr. PN Rajesh Rao.

Sir,

Good Morning. Wish you a very Happy New Year 2025.

I read about you, read your speech on The
Hindu Newspaper just now.

https://www-thehindu-com.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/www.thehindu.com/society/history-and-culture/clear-proof-of-continuities-exists-between-indus-and-cultures-that-developed-later-jamison/article69065103.ece/amp/?amp_js_v=0.1&_gsa=1#webview=1

I have been following Indus Valley Research News from my childhood years, fanned by ADMK, DMK Political propaganda and World Tamil Conference conducted by ADMK Tamilnadu ex Chief Minister Late
Dr. MG Ramachandran Ji.

Dr. MGR conducted 5th World Tamil Conference at Madurai Race Course in year 1981.

Myself Pasupathi Kumarappan Pillai, along with my Mother, Maternal Uncle Vaithiyanathan alias PeriyarAdiyan, my elder sister K Sivagami, my uncles family all visited the Race Course Madurai World Tamil Conference. We attended all 5 days meeting, as general public. My age was just 10. I was studying 5th standard at Caldwell Higher Secondary School Tuticorin. We all came to Madurai just to attend this 5th World Tamil Conference.

Being a small kid, I didn't know Dr. Asko Parpola was also present in that 5th World Tamil Conference. He presented a paper.

All my memories about 5th World Tamil Conference was how my Maternal Uncle who was a member of Dravidar Kazhagam, who was also at some leadership position in DK, how much efforts my Maternal Uncle put to further education, knowledge, rational thinking in our immediate family, and also the hospitality shown by our Indira Chithi, Chidambaram Chithappa family who lived at Race Course Madurai Tamilnadu Government Housing Board area, 5 days of joyous visit to the 5th World Tamil Conference venue, which was a walkable distance from my Indira Chithi house, wonderful Bharata Nattiyam Dance by Padma Shree Padma Bhushan Padma Vibhushan Mrs Padma Subramanyam on the last concluding day of the conference, free food, water, butter milk at the venue, speech by MGR then CM, speech by Kannadasan, a Big Balloon flying over the venue with words like 5th World Tamil Conference etc....

Memories apart, I wanted to contribute something to the Tamil Society, to the World where I am born, to India so that even after my death something of value may remain out of my life. I mean to say, my maternal uncle ignited a kind of passion towards learning, education, sharing my knowledge with others.

I joined Indian Air Force, inspired by father ex Army Naib Subedar. Even at IAF, I kept on learning regardless of the topics.

By chance, I came to know about various works of Dr. Asko Parpola and retired IAS Officer Dr. Irawadham Mahadevan.

By chance, I visited www.harappa.com and started learning about some papers published by both above two legends in the field of Indus Valley Civilisation and it's script.

By the year 1996, God has gifted me a 200 Mhz Intel Desktop with Windows 95 OS on it. By the year 1999 September I learnt to code HTML and create a website for matrimonials for my community www.saivaneri.org.

Around year 2000 to 2003 I was able to visit www.harappa.com website, read a lot about Dr Asko Parpola and Dr Irawadham Mahadevan.

So, I wanted to share my ideas with above two legends. I wrote few emails to them, Dr Asko Parpola wrote me a reply too, he encouraged my curiosity.

Again by chance, when I was at Indian Air Force Nagpur, 44 Squadron, working on Ilyushin 76 Russian aeroplane engines, I read about Dr. Moti Ravan Kangali and his Decipherment of IVC script books on local Nagpur newspaper.

From year 2008 I joined Facebook where again by chance I met Mr Pawan Sayam Gond. He is from Gond Gondia Gondwana Koya Kui community person. He wrote a lot about Dr Moti Ravan Kangali and his Decipherment of IVC script. Mr. Pawan Sayam Gond and many of his Gond friends also keep on publishing their version of IVC script Decipherment.

Due to the Facebook and digital media we are all able to learn fast, connect with people quickly, express our view points and try to come to a well studied conclusion on any topic, which is a hallmark of democracy, freedom, liberty of digital social media.

One of the most important findings which I could learn from Dr. Moti Ravan Kangali and Mr. Pawan Sayam Gond was the 12 months IVC Calendar. Based on 12 full moons.

BC7000. BC5000. BC3000. Why? Even till 100 years ago World Citizens didn't have electricity. Ancient Civilization people depended on Moon Light. Full Moon Paurnamis are even today are very important celestial event. For lovers, married couples, romantic people, families, religious functions of Hindus full moon is a God's gift.

12 full moons. 12 Paurnamis. 12 months. 12 religious Hindu Temple festivals. 12 months calendar of IVC script. Mind blowing science. Mind blowing concept. Simple calendar, yet profound impact on society.

Attached please find the JPEG photo of the 12 months IVC calendar. Deciphered by Mr. Pawan Sayam Gond. Nagpur.

I linked the 12 months IVC script calendar deciphered by Mr Pawan Sayam Gond with Tamil Hindu Temple Full Moon festivals. I wrote few blogs on them at www.pasug2.blogspot.in

I also wrote emails to Tamilnadu Chief Minister, DMK IT Wing, DMK Party, Prime Minister Narendra Modiji and propagated my ideas with lot of my dear friends online, Facebook, social media.

For example Dr. Kalaigynar Mu. Karunanidhi insisted to bring 14 January Thai 1 of every year as Tamil Puthandu. Tamil New Year. I politely notified all above people that Chithirai 1 is the actual Tamil New Year from BC7000
BC 5000 BC 3000 Indus Valley Civilisation.

When I wrote many blogs, emails, articles on Chithirai 1 as the original, unadulterated, actual Tamil Puthandu Tamil New Year lot of people from Dravidar Kazhagam DK and DMK political party were angry at me. Many hurled choicest expletives at me. Many treated me badly. Many ridiculed me. Many people even went to the extent of rape and murder of my dear wife Muthu Lakshmi on 19.09.2016.

But Truth prevails. Truth alone Triumphs.
Dr. Kalaigynar Mu Karunanidhi even before his death knew all about my writings, somewhat accepted my point of view. Present Tamilnadu Chief Minister MK StalinJi also knows all about my writings, blogs, emails, articles.

Attached please find the 12 months IVC script calendar of Indus Valley Civilisation. I want this must be known to the World through USA media, your University. You can mention my name and late Dr Moti Ravan Kangali and Mr Pawan Sayam Gond name in the little step forward towards Decipherment of Indus Valley Civilisation Script Language.

The explanations which I have for all 12 months of the IVC script calendar is again reproduced below from my blogs.

12 Months IVC Harappan Indus Valley Civilisation Indus Valley Script Tamil Annual Calendar and Chithirai 1 is the First Tamil Month

12 months IVS IVC Calendar = Tamil Calendar
- September 22, 2018
17 January 2015

Chithirai 1 was Indus Valley Tamils New Year

Attached please find IVC scripts of 12 months.
First month is Chithirai 1.
Chitra Paurnami.
Shows a man with Scribe.
Pen.
Scratching Tool on clay pots.
Chitra Guptan is related to Brahmans.
Brammanars.
Kayasthas.
Vezhirs.
Vellalaers.
Saiva Vellalaers. Karnams.
Karneegars.
These writers poets singers dancers Isai Vellalaers also joined Brahmin culture.
Aariyan. Subha Aryan Sivan culture.
Chithirai star is available at Kanni galaxy. Kanni Virgo zodiac.
But Indus Valley Tamils did not show Kanni Virgo Galaxy as first month.
They have shown Scribe.
Inscriber.
Recordist.
Record keeper.
Chitraguptar.
Keeper of secrets.
Writer of karmas.
Papam. Punyam. Recorder.
Kanakku theerpavar.
God ask Chitra Guptan how many crimes papas punyas this vyakthi did?
He is dead, spirit is before Yama.
Yama consults Chitragupta before sending person to heaven or hell yoni.
Heaven or hell is another birth yoni.
Heaven is you are born as rich mans son. Children. Born in to good family.
Hell is as per your karma born in slums as children of rickshaw pulller or cobbler or dalit etc.

Thus Chitragupatan Kayastha month is Chithirai 1 observed by IVC Tamils.
See the attached photo.
9th month shows Milad Un Nabhi.
Pegasus galaxy raises in December.
Pegasus is dappa with a tail.
Square box with a tail.
Mohammad Nabhi is born in Milad un Nabhi day.
Mohammad Nabhi was born when Pegasus Galaxy was bright raisen in sky.
IVC people traded with Magan UAE Quattar.
IVC people has deep connections with Mohammad Nabhi people.
That's why Pegasus is indicated at Macca Khabba as a square empty box.
With eeshanya moolai black stone.
Shiva Linga at eeshanya moolai encased in silver casket.
Silver yoni.
Thus Moslems also worship Shiva in Macca Khaba.
9th month of IVC Tamil Calendar shows pegasus.
10th month of IVC Tamil Calendar shows crab galaxy rising.
Crab has 2 legs at front.
6 or 8 legs at back.
So IVC Tamils shown crab month as Thai maasam.
Thai poosam.
Thai Poosam is very special day in IVC Tamils calendar.
DMK M.Karunanidhi and his son Stalin ayya should stop making Thai 1 as tamil new year.
IVC people Indus Valley Tamils used Chithrai 1 as Tamils first month.
9th month pegasus.
10th month Crab month.
Month of cancer.
Thai Poosam.
Pushya star.
Kadaha Raasi.
Thus Kadaha Raasi was Thai Poosam.
Kadaha Galaxy is Thai Poosam.
Then comes 12 th month.
Panguni Uthram.
Utram star is very important for Vezhir Tamils.
Vellalars..
Tamil Vezhir Kings.
Panguni Utram.
Utram star found in Virgo galaxy.
Kanni Rashi.
Kanni Raasi.
Virgo looks like Ottaha Chivingi.
Ottaga Chivingi is an unique African animal.
Lamda like.
Thus IVC Tamil calendar shows Utram star ...Lambda sign.
Hanging.
Utram means roof.
Ropes hangs from Utram.
Kanni Virgo galaxy also looks like some hanging ropes.
Ottaha Chivingi.
Thus IVC Tamil Calendar shows simple Lambda sign as utram kanni galaxy.
Thus IVC Tamils took 4 important clues links to Calenders Faiths.
April = Chitrai 1 = Chitra Paurnami = Scribe Man = Chitra Guptan
December = Milad in Nabhi = Birth of Mohammad = Pegasus galaxy
= Square Empty box with a Tail = Khabaa Maccas Khabaa
January = Thai 1 = Thai Poosam = The Tenth month of IVC peoples Tamil Calendar shows Thai Poosam = Crab Zodiac = Cran Galaxy with 2 legs at front and 6 legs at behind.
12 th month = Panguni Utram = Utram star in Kanni Rashi = Virgo galaxy.

Post Script.
No. 8 is born as two circles.
No. 11th month shows the same 2 circles and with in that is 3 iii
That is 8+3 = 11.
Thus IVC Tamils took great pains in developing Hindu Sivan Kandha Vezh Muruga Vezh calendar festivals.
Which also marked link with Muslim world.
Birth of Mohammad Nabhi.

No.8 th month is shown as Murugan symbol.
Kaarthigai.
Kruthihai.
Nov 15 to Dec 15.
Two valaiyals are shown as Murugan Lord Muruhu symbol
by Dr.Iravadham Mahadevan & Asko Parpola sirji also.
Murugan month is Karthihgai.
Kruthihai star.
Thus Murugan Asterism also solves no.8th month in IVC asterisms.

Karthigai star is available at Taurus
And also in Aries galaxy.

But as these 2 galaxies are not so prominent in sky and
not so clearly visibke, but it is linked with karthihai pengal.
Karthigai Plaidus galaxy.
Seven sisters.
Six sisters.
Arumugan.
Karthigai pengal story.

Thus all 5 important asterisms & festivals are shown only in IVC Tamil calendar.
Rest all months are simple.
Not shown special.
Not shown any asterisms.
Not given much Importance.
Thus thus 12 month calendar KS the starting point of deciphering IVS
IVC script.
Let's hope.

12 Months IVC Harappan Indus Valley Civilisation Indus Valley Script Tamil Annual Calendar and Chithirai 1 is the First Tamil Month

12 Months IVC Harappan Indus Valley Civilisation Indus Valley Script Tamil Annual Calendar and Chithirai 1 is the First Tamil Month.

This 12month Indus valley civilisation calendar deciphered through Gond Gondia Gondwana Koya Kui language.

Each month determined by Full Moon.
Chitra Paurnami taken as First Month.

Chithirai 1 means Siddhar + Orai = Siththirai.

Siththirai also means Full Moon Chitra Paurnami in which Full Moon is at Thula Rashi Libra on Star Chithirai.
The Siddhar + Orai = Chiththirai Star is also very bright big moon full moon day where Yama Dharma Rajas assistant Chitra Gupthan who keeps record of all Human Beings Sin and Good Deeds (Papam and Punniyam) and this record keeper came from particular caste who were ordered to keep records of produce, records of humans, trees, land, records of domesticated animals at village, records of death and birth at village. These village administative officers caste were known as Karnam Karneegar Karnam Pillai Seer Karneegar Sarattu Karneegar Mudhaliyar etc.

These record keepers have their own God Chitra Gupthan. There is a separate temple for Chitra Gupthan at Kanchipuram.

This Chitra Gupthan keeps record of all Karma of each and every human being and also writes "Thalai Ezhuththu" "Fate" of every soul born in this world according to his Karma.

Chitra Gupthan is assistant / record keeper to Yama Dharma Raja.

So from Chitra Paurnami Chithirai 1 Indus Valley Calendar IVC Annual Calendar started on Moon based Harappan calendar.

The pictograph depicting a man with a sharp sword and kedayam explains the Chitra Paurnami Chitra Gupthan month is recorded on potteries, clay objects, to announce start of the Year.

Calendar keeping is very important for civilisation.

The person who uses sharp object to write on clay pots, clay objects was called a writer, documenter, recordist caste. The art of writing on Trees, Rocks, Pots, Clay Tablets, Clay Pots, Utensils is called KEERAL Keeruvathu in Tamil and Gond Gondia Gondwana koya kui language.

Keeral means KIRUKKUVATHU. Scribble.
Scribers.
Describes.
The KEERAL KEERAN casts people were usually the upper caste people at Harappa.

Nakkeeran Nandhai Keeran Tamil Paazhi Pali Palli Pallella Pallelar Pallavar Tamil Brahmi Language pot scripts, mountain rock scripts explain about Tamil names NAKKEERAN and Nandhai Keeran.

Keeran Keeral Keeruvathu means the art of Scribbling on any surface.

Indians still have the habit of scribbling their names on EverSilver, silver, gold House hold kitchen articles bought at utensils shop by an electric inscriber.

Inscribing names on any object ensures ownership. Even if it is lost it can be claimed by citing your name. If it is given to neighborhood house you can get it back easily with your identification name on the silver utensil.

Inscriber caste NAKKEERAN Nandhai Keeran people were separate caste at Harappan IVC times 5000 BC.

In Thiruvilaiyadal Puranam of Shiva, at Madurai this inscriber record keeping caste person argues with Lord Shiva Nakkeeran argues with Lord Shiva about a Tamil Song he wrote for his Bhakta Tharumi who wants to win a prize from King.

Nakkeeran Minister to Pandiyan King at Madurai informs Lord Shiva "Sangu Aruppathu Engal Kulam, Sanganarkku Yethu Kulam, Sangai Arindhundu Vazhvom, Um Pol Irandhundu Vazhvathu Illai"

Means we Keeran Nakkeeran Nandhai Keeran Keeral Keerum people live by cutting Sea Shells (Shanku) and making it wearable bangles, we inscribe on Shankh, Pots, Potteries, Clay Objects, we are by birth writer, poet, artist, recordist caste. But we never live like you by begging on others.

Shiva is ridiculed chided by the Pandyan Minister at Madurai for his act of begging bowl as Bikshadanar BikshanDehi because as per Indian Culture the Brahmins Saints Sadhus Rishis Munis Maharishis must live by begging, alms, seeking alms from others.

This makes Lord Shiva furious. Immediately he shouts, "Keeraney keerpparum, koorum, koorum koorip paarum" and Shiva opens his Third Eye from which rays XRays attack Nakkeeran Minister and he was made ashes.

After sometime Shiva forgives Minister Nakkeeran and he is come again alive from PotramaraiKulam Golden Lotus Pond at the same Madurai Shivan Temple.

This the Keeran Keeral Keeruvathu Nakkeeran Nandhai Keeran caste people are writers, inscriber, document makers, VAO, Village Administative Officers, Mudaliyars, Karnam, Karnam Pillai, Ministers.

The Harappan IVC Annual Tamil Gond Gondia Gondwana koya kui calendar starts with Chitra Paurnami on Chithirai 1 Full Moon day.

The eight month is indicated by Murukku Murugan Lord Murugan 8 symbol is Murukku Murugiya entangled symbol.

8 month from April 14 (Chithirai 1) is Full Moon on Karthikai Star. Lord Murugan is called Karthik Karthikeyan. Festivals all over India/World at Lord Murugan Temple.

9 month is Full Moon at Mirugashreedam Star. It's called Margazhi Month in Tamil. Festival for Lord Shiva at Chidambaram Temple (Thiruvadhiraikku Oru Vaai Kazhi).

10 month is Full Moon at a Star in Kadaka Rashi Cancer. Moon is at Kadaka Rashi. Pushya Star. It is celebrated as a festival by Tamils as Thai Poosam. Thai 1.

11 month is Full Moon at a Star. Month 11 is shown by mixture of 8 and 3.

8+3 = 11. So they didn't have a symbol for 11th month so they just added symbol for 8 and 3.

12 month is shown by Full Moon at Uththiram Star. Uthram. Moon is at Kanni Rashi Virgo. Sun is at Pisces.

Thus Harappan IVC Annual Calendar was made by Tamils and Gond Gondia Gondwana Koya Kui people whose language was not Sanskrit.

But the Sanskrit speaking people Orion Oraiyan Oraiyans Aryans were also returned NRI Tamils + Europeans mix who called themselves Oraiyans Orions Aryans and invaded their own Jambu Dveepam Sambu Theevu ancient Tamils at 1500 BC.

NRI Tamils + Europeans returned to Asia and made full of Asia = Aariya

Burmah as Brahma Desam.

From 1500 BC onwards East ward conquering of Nations Empiredom started.

Tamils + Brahmins started war with Thailand Vietnam Cambodia Sumatra Java Indonesia and made it their vassals.

Spread Buddhism Shaivism Vishnuism in all of Asia.

Beauty of Tamil Solar months with star linked on purnima day

KRISHNAN SANKARAN,APR 15, 2014, 19:35 IST45K

Chaitra Purnima1/12
1
Chaitra Purnima
The Tamil New Year month with a cycle of 60 years starts on the middle of April every year with the Tamil name of the month called CHITTIRAI (Sanskrit name Chaitra) and the Purnima festival is observed on the full moon day with star of Chithirai or Chaitra of Libra zodiac corresponding to the English months of April-May, when the asterism Chitra (virginis) holds sway. It is a festival observed to propitiate Chitragupta as the chief accountant of Yama, who is believed to record the commissions and omissions by humans in order to punish or reward them after their death. This festival will be widely celebrated in the Divine Hills of Tiruvannamalai during the English calendar month of April and May every year and on this day Lakhs and Lakhs of people will visit HILL Town and have darshan after the Girivalam.

Vaikasi Vaisakha purnima2/12
2
Vaikasi Vaisakha purnima
The second of the Tamil month,Vaikasi and the Star Visagam of Libra and Scorpio zodiac, the full moon day is called as Vaikasi Visagam(Sanskrit name Vaisakha)is celebrated with all fanfare. As per Puranas the THREE asura (demon)brothers, Soorapadman, Singamuhan and Tarakan attained great powers through penance and after attaining the powers they started disturbing the DEVAS who in turn pleaded Lord SIVA for help. Lord opened his third eye, the one seen in the forehead and from that formed six sparks of FIRE and these sparks are carried to River Ganga who inturn turned to the stream called Saravana Poigai. Once floated in the stream the 6 divine male babies born who were cared by six young girls called Karthigai Pengal (Girls). Goddess Parvathi embraced these kids and they united to one with six faces and twelve hands and thus LORD Shanmuga–meaning one with six faces)emerged on the full moon day in the month of Vaikasi and is the embodiment of pure perception and divine knowledge.

Aani Anusham purnima3/12
3
Aani Anusham purnima
'Aani' is one of the most celebrated festivals of Tamil Nadu at the Nellaiyappar temple, Tirunelveli. It is famous for its final day procession. Devotees of Nellaiyppar and Gandhimathi (Siva and Parvathi) prepare a grand car for the procession, which makes it stands apart from other festivals of Tamil Nadu. The highlight of this occasion remains the beautiful chariot, weighing in tons. Devotees decorate this exceptionally huge car and the main reason behind the trend of preparing this huge car was to offer every devotee a clear sight of the idols. On full moon day in the Tamil month Aani and the star Anusham (Sanskrit name Jyaishtha) of Scorpio zodiac formed which is called as AANI Anusham. The temple is noted for Anusham-Anuradha star worship. A Chola king used to worship Lord Nataraja in Chidambaram each day and one day he enquired a shepherd about the strange happenings and after finding the information is true, the King built the temple in the same place on Anuradha star day.

Aadi Pooram purnima4/12
4
Aadi Pooram purnima
Fourth of the Tamil solar month AADI is called the month for Goddess and special for all womenfolk to worship for the entire month and especially on all Fridays. The Hindu festival of Aadi Pooram is celebrated in all Hindu temples in Southern India in the month called Aadi or (Sanskrit name Ashadha), corresponding to the English months of July-August, when the star Pooram is in Leo zodiac on the full moon day. The festival is observed to propitiate the goddess Sakthi Devi who is said to have come into this world on this occasion to bless the people. People therefore worship her in order to secure happiness not only for themselves but also for their loved ones. If the festival falls on a Friday, the occasion is considered to be highly auspicious, and the people worship the goddess in a more special way. It is said that there are eight Nidhis or Sakthis (Forces of nature) in the universe and they are controlled by Devi, the goddess of the Hindus.

Aavani Sravanam purnima5/12
5
Aavani Sravanam purnima
Fifth Tamil Solar month is an auspicious month not only for celebrations of festivals but also for weddings. The most significance factor is two consecutive festivals following the Full Moon day with stars Shravana and Avittam which will fall on the full moon day. In Tamil Nadu the Brahmins will celebrate this as THREAD changing ceremony followed by Gayathri manthra jabam reciting 1008 times on next day, whereas in Kerala this one is celebrated as ONAM festival in a grand manner. India is a country of numerous states and religions, the celebrations of Shravana purnima are known by different names and are even observed according to the varying regional customs and traditions. Still, there is unity among diversity as the same festival is celebrated all throughout the nation tinged with their regional flavour. These are Rakhi Purnima, Avani Avittam, Kajari Navami, Nariyal Purnima and Pavitropana. Rakhi Purnima is the Raksha Bandhan festival celebrated with great fervor between siblings.

Puratasi Pooratadhi/Uthiratadhi purnima6/12
6
Puratasi Pooratadhi/Uthiratadhi purnima
Sixth Tamil Solar month is full of devotional month and no marriage celebration will take place during that month. Full moon day falls on the star Puratadhi(Bhadrapada)/Uthiratadhi (Parushthapada) - (Aquaries /Pisces zodiac) but the Puratasi Saturdays are very important and special prayers are done for Tirupathi Venkatachalapathy with people following manyVrathams and pujas with various offerings like Chakara Pongal etc. Tirupathi Brahmostavam is an integral part of Puratasi, happening in Tirupathi temple which can be viewed through TV and TTD and other TV channels are telecasting the Brahmotsavam sitting at home on all days of the festival. Mahalaya Amavasya – The 15 days preceding the New moon day of Puratasi is considered as Mahalaya Paksham (full moon to new moon) period. During this time, our forefathers are supposed to come close to us on this earth and people generally offer special prayers to them with tharpanam, mahalaya srartham etc.

Aipassi Ashwini purnima7/12
7
Aipassi Ashwini purnima
Aippasi is seventh month in the Tamil calendar from Oct /Nov. This happens to be the most festive month as the biggest festival across India as Diwali. Aippasi with star Ashwini (purnima) is celebrated as Annabishekam in all Siva temples. The Siva lingam is covered with cooked rice and also decorated with vegetables and fruits around. This is basically a thanksgiving to the Lord for providing us with Annam! Witnessing Annabishekam is said to relieve one from the cycles of birth. Deepavali festival commences with sacred oil bath, early in the morning, known as Ganga Snaanam. On this day it is believed that goddess Lakshmi resides in the oil, Ganga mata in the water and divine medicine in Sheekkakai powder (acacia concuna – asoapnut powder used for rubbing off the oil from the head). The Lord had promised that the divine River Ganges will flow through all the water ways on that day. The oil bath is acknowledged by Indian sages and Ayurvedic physicians to be beneficial to health.

Karthigai Karthika purnima8/12
8
Karthigai Karthika purnima
Karthigai Deepam festival is celebrated on Purnima (full moon day) of the tamizh (Eighth) month Karthigai (mid-November to mid-December) as per Tamil calendar. India is a country of varied culture and traditions. Karthigai Deepam is a typical festival of lights of the southern part of India and is an extension of Deepavali festival. It is very similar to Bhai Duj or Raksha Bandhan celebrated in other parts of the country. The ideology of the festival is that "the sisters pray for their brothers' well being and the brothers in turn, promise to safeguard the sisters in times of trouble. Another story is that Lord Siva appeared as an endless flame of light before Lord Vishnu and Brahma. Lord Vishnu failed in his search whereas Lord Brahma chanced with a piece of Thazhambu FLOWER and Lord SIVA realized the falsehood and pronounced that there would never a temple for him in the world. Lord SIVA appeared as a flame is called as Maha Deepam day.

Markazhi Mrigasirsha/Arudhra purnima9/12
9
Markazhi Mrigasirsha/Arudhra purnima
Lord Krishna has described the month as Dhanur Maasam at the time the SUN placed in Sagittarius Zodiac and in Tamil it is called as Markazhi which is a divine month to worship. The period before Sunrise is called Brahma Muhurta, an auspicious time best for worshipping Lord Vishnu and even the celestials perform special prayers to the Lord as it would yield good results. In the Tamil month of Markazhi (Ninth) the Full moon day (purnima) falls on the star of Mrigashirsha/Thiruvdirai (both stars belonged to Lord SHIVA) which is a sacred in all aspects for prosperity and blessings from the GOD. Another important and significance is during this Markazhi month the EKADASI is considered highly auspicious which is called as Vaikunta Ekadasi and is worshipped with full devotion in Srirangam Temple and is celebrated with all fanfare and people across the State thronged to the day earlier to view Sorka vassal (an entrance to swarkga) and all the temples conduct special poojas during the period.

Thai Pushyam purnima10/12
10
Thai Pushyam purnima
Thai is the most important Tamil solar month which brings joy, celebrations and weddings in the Tamil families. Thai begins with Pongal for the first three days of the Tamil Solar month and continues with full of divine festivals like Thai Krithigai (Lord Karthikeya), Pushyam lunar star which falls on full moon day and called as Thai Poosam which is significant for Lord Karthikeya (Murugan) who had destroyed Tharakasuran on the Poosam day of Thai. The history may well be more than 1000 years old although some are of the view that the festival is older than that. Epigraphic Evidence suggests the celebration of the Puthiyeedu (first harvest of the year) during the Medieval Chola Empire days. Tamils refer to Pongal as "Tamizhar Thirunaal" (meaning "the festival of Tamils") Makara Sankranti in turn is referred to in the Surya Siddhanta.

Masi Magam purnima11/12
11
Masi Magam purnima
Magam star comes in the Tamil month of Masi–Tenth (Feb/Mar.)which is a very auspicious day and very important day for the Tamilians across the world to celebrate this festival. Magam is one among the twenty seven stars in the Hindu astrological system called constellation and it is one of the most favourable times for spiritual purification. This day is one of the most powerful Full Moons of the full year, since the moon aligns with Magha star which is the birth star of the Kings. This coincidence only occurs only once a year and signifies the descent of heavenly beings to the earth plane. The divine beings appear in the astral form to purify their own karma as well as the karma of the human race. Masi Magam combines the benefits of abundance and prosperity associated with the Full Moon and the majestic quality of the Magha star, offering an unique opportunity to gain power and energy and is the most appropriate time to destroy our ego and surrender ourselves at the feet of the divine.

Panguni Uthiram purnima12/12
12
Panguni Uthiram purnima
Panguni Uthiram is a day of importance to Hindus especially those who belong to Tamilnadu. It falls on the day the moon transits in the asterism of Uttara-phalguni or Uthiram in the twelfth month of the Tamil solar calendar i.e. Panguni (March-April). It is also the full moon of the month of Panguni and is special because the Uthiram nakshatram coincides with the full moon. This full moon signifies the marriage of Parvati and Parameswara (Lord Shiva), Murugan and Deyvaanai, and Aandaal and Rangamannar. On Panguni Uthiram, Murugan married Kamalavalli Naachiyar. Also Valmiki's Ramayana says it is on this day and star that Sita's marriage with Rama was celebrated.
