Emergency Landing of An32 Antonov Russian Aircraft
Pasupathi & his entry mate Trichy Thuraiyur Bhuvanendran Sozhiya Vellalar Pillai both boarded An32 Antonov Russian aeroplane from PTS Para Troopers Squadron Air Force Station Agra during 1995. Tuticorin Tamil Isai Selvi Marriage. Landing Gear malfunction of An32. Pasupathi + Bhuvanendran pumped 25 liters of FH15 France Hydraulic Oil imported oil on the ill fated An32. Pipe Line rupture. Landing Gear Hydraulic Oil level fell down to zero. Military aeroplanes have this emergency 25 Liters France made oil always ready for Manual Pumping. We both pumped the oil. Prayed to lot many Gods. Around 15 passengers were there inside the An32. Before pumping 25 liters oil, the Hydraulic System was bypassed. Manual Operation of a Lever below the chasis of An32 fuselage also done by we 2 Airmen and Flight Engineer. Thank God. We 3 manually opened the An32 under garage UG. Landing Gear. LG. Safely we landed at Cochin Naval Air Base. Fire Fighters, Fire Engines, many Officers were ready at the Air Port for Belly Landing in case the Landing Gear didn't open manually. Thank God again. We did it. After safe landing, we 3 opened the cowling of the An32 aircraft engine. Right engine. We saw the ruptured Hydraulic pipe line. We had shown the damage to the 2 Pilots. Flight Engineer. Chief Engineering Officer. They said it's a small issue. Rescue Team will come from Agra for further necessary repair of the An32. Pasupathi + Bhuvanendran caught a Kerala Bus from Cochin to Madurai. At Palani Pasupathi got down to go to his sister Sivagami house and forward to Tamil Isai Selvi marriage, Tuticorin. Bhuvanendran went to his home Trichy Thuraiyur. We both were on Casual Leave 10 days. Unforgettable memories.
